AdBlue Removal / AdBlue Delete

Physical removal & unplugging of the AdBlue unit is required. Disabling of the vehicle’s AdBlue warning lights and other systems are also necessary. It is usually performed by reprogramming (remapping) the vehicle’s engine management system (ECU).

What is AdBlue?

AdBlue is a liquid (urea and demineralized water) used in diesel vehicles to reduce NOx levels.

It is injected into the exhaust system just before SCR catalyst (Selective Catalytic Reduction). The introduction of AdBlue triggers a chemical reaction inside the system, which results in the conversion of NOx into Water vapor and Nitrogen.

Is AdBlue expensive?

The AdBlue and SCR systems are very complex and can require a lot of maintenance to keep it working. A regular usage vehicle will consume a high amount of AdBlue which is costly.
