Remapping your vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is a quick and cost-effective process, which overwrites the manufacturer’s original settings and values. It enables your vehicle to function at its full potential.
Here at Rommies Auto Tuning (RATSA) our maps are proven to be reliable and super effective. We can offer incredible power and torque gains with an ECU Remap, but we also believe in safe and sensible tuning. For this reason, our customers return time and time again.
With our ECU Remaps, we offer a lifetime warranty against any software malfunctions and all original maps are backed up on a dedicated server, allowing us to return your vehicle back to stock whenever needed.
Before carrying out any ECU Remapping, we always check your vehicle for any engine faults via our specialised OBD2 scanning tools. Many times, there are engine faults which the customer is not aware of and by doing an ECU remap can potentially worsen the existing engine problem. A full diagnostic health check is recommended to ensure your vehicle is in the correct state of health before any ECU remapping takes place.

Rommies Auto Tuning (RATSA) offers typically 4 different stages of ECU Remaps (depending on your specific vehicle):
- Economy ECU Remap
- Stage 1 ECU Remap (Popular)
- Stage 2 ECU Remap
- Stage 3 ECU Remap
Economy Remap
ECO Remaps is a popular choice with rising fuel prices. We are able to recalibrate the ECU data to improve fuel efficiency. The increase in torque will allow less gear changes and accelerator pedal movement thus resulting in improved kilometres per litre and drivability.
Economy Remaps are for turbo Diesel vehicles only.
Stage 1 Remap
Our Stage 1 Remaps are designed for standard and unmodified vehicles (no hardware upgrades).
A Stage 1 Remap increases power and torque while also improving fuel efficiency. Removes flat spots and gives a more responsive drive without compromising reliability.
Stage 2 Remap
Our Stage 2 Remaps provide more power (hp / kw) and more torque (nm / lbs ft) than our Stage 1 Remaps.
Efficiency will still improve but not as dramatically as a Stage 1 Remap. Hardware modifications and upgrades (downpipes, intakes and intercoolers) are required before a Stage 2 Remap can be applied.
Stage 3 Remap
Our Stage 3 Remaps are bespoke and brutal performance figures are gained.
Uprated performance hardware will be required (Hybrid Turbo, Big Turbo, Upgraded Fuel Pumps and Injectors etc.)
Frequent on the road logging is done where parameters are monitored.
